I just read about his today. The OUYA game console is an open source console that runs on the Android OS. Their intention is to bring mobile games to your television. That's not to say those are the only games you can expect to play on it, they have said that Final Fantasy III will be a launch title. They are collecting funds via Kickstarter and expecting to deliver their goods in March (to backers of the project who have pledged $99 or more). Read about it on their Kickstarter page: And some skepticism about the project: penny-arcade.com/report/editorial-article/the-reality-of-the-ouya-console-doesnt-match-the-hype-why-you-should-be-ske

Are you one of the backers getting a console in March?

Yea, I backed the 99$ pledge. Haven't been too much into it, but it seemed pretty promising with the speed rate it was growing at, so I decided to back it.
Now every now and then I get the updates via kickstarter in my mail inbox and I don't read them, I just scan them, but they come with quite some interesting stuff. Interesting names joining in. I read there was going to be a Final Fantasy game for Ouya in the last email.
So I can't wait to get it and see what games they're going to have for us. I never expected any big names, but it's becoming more and more promising.

Minecraft should work on this, not sure how it's going to be done, I thought I read they were one of the earlier names to join in.

Im trying to find the list of companies that were supporting it..
I know a ton of indie game developers are going to be hopping aboard so that will be neat.
