This is a baby quilt for my nephew This is one I made for myself inspired by a famous quilt called 'Modern Mayhem" This one I whipped up in 2 days because I was bored. No idea who I am gonna give it to, but I thought the color combination looked nice and I couldn't resist. Haha

Woah, you've got mad skills. I really like the second one, the color is amazing. It seems like you dabble in a lot of different forms of art. I think last time I remember you posting some of your leather work. You should sell your stuff on etsy.

I wouldn't exactly call what I do 'art'. I just like to work with textiles. Lol. I wish I had taken pictures of a kimono I made not too long ago, but my friend has it in Iowa. Oh well! Lol

There are elements of art in it though, shapes, patterns, color theory and whatnot. And sewing takes a lot of finesse. I took a clothing construction class and well...the shirt I attempted was pretty pathetic. Only suitable for the homeless.

If you say so. I just do it for fun. There are some hardcore quilters who would laugh at my stuff. lol. What kind of shirt did you make? This is the quilt pattern I think I will make next for my Sister.

I made a standard, long-sleeve button up shirt. It was going good but quickly went to shit when I had to attach the collar to the rest of the shirt. A lot of the stitching looks shoddy in that area. I didn't even bother putting buttons on it. That pattern is neat, how big is it going to be?

Yeah, I hate working with collars or even belts that are sewn in. GROSS! LOL
So yeah the quilt will be queen sized, so probably 10 blocks by 10 blocks, and each block will have 13 pieces, so 1300 pieces of fabric. lol. Just thinking about all of that cutting is daunting!

Holy eff. That's nuts. I think if I ever make a quilt it's going to be 1 block by 1 block and each block will have 1 piece. xP

Probably like 3 days or so. I'll post a pic of what I have done thus far. I just started it yesterday, so there is only about half done.

So here is the start of my sister's quilt. I am actually almost done with it, but it isn't laid out, it's all stacked up by my sewing machine. Lol
